It's a small detail but a nice touch. During the final battle, after Cap leaves Black Widow and Hawkeye in the streets to hold off the badguys, Black Widow says "Just like Budapest all over again" and Hawkeye replies "You and I remember Budapest very differently". What most Americans don't seem to get is that in Hungarian an "s" is pronounced with an "sh" sound. Black Widow being a Russian would know that and pronounce "Budapest" correctly and Hawkeye being an American would pronounce it with a regular "s" sound.

I picked that up, and yes lot's of small attention to detail in this movie that's why so many people went to see it over and over and it's the success it is..... -

Another nice touch, when Iron Man takes out the Levithan by going through it *cough*Green Lantern*cough*, after he crashes through the bus stop, when he gets up before he gets attacked by the aliens, over his right shoulder, to left of the Insurance Farmers sign, there's a sign that says "Shawarma." I was the only one of the group that I was with that noticed. Other things to notice:
After Thor takes Loki off the Quinjet down on the mountain side, two large ravens flies by them as they are talking. In Norse mythology, their father, Odin, had two crows, Huginn and Muninn, who would bring Odin information from Midgard (Earth).
Dr Selvig refers to Clint Barton as the Hawk. In the comics, Clint Barton's superhero alias is Hawkeye.
The waitress saved by Captain America and later interviewed about The Avengers is called "Beth"
Tony Stark is wearing a Black Sabbath t-shirt.
Tony Stark describes The Avengers as "Earth's mightiest heroes, that kind of thing."
Harry Dean Stanton (Alien) makes a cameo appearance and asks Bruce Banner if he's an alien.

I didn't catch the two ravens when I went to see it (another reason to go back).
I also liked Tony's comment towards Loki regarding "Reindeer Games." Thought that was pretty clever...sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.Comment

I liked it when Cap called the young shield agent 'son' when they stole the quinjet. I like it when he does it in the comics too. Especially to Spiderman.
What did Black Widow whisper to Hawkeye when Thor and Loki were leaving? It was obviously a slam against Loki.
I thought Stark said, 'Clench up, Legolas', but I could be wrong.
Not sure on 'Beth' either. They gave her enough screen time to make me wonder.
No 'Avengers Assemble' but there's always the next movie

Given Hawkeye's grin, I'd say it was a pretty good slam.
And yeah, it was clench up. Never trust the machine, when you're sure you remember it differently.
Well Wiki's no help, and my brain has failed me.
I would like to hear Cap say it, but Iron Man wouldn't be too bad either.

Great stuff guys. I love the Cap theme, and was glad to see it used briefly. Reminded me of JL/JLU, when they'd use bits of the BTAS and STAS themes when Supes and Bats did something really cool.

Yep, we're nerdin' out, big time, without the threat of judgment! I always felt that was cool as hell, with props to Timm. 
The use of Batman's theme is perfectly ominous. I always wanted to hear that theme on the big screen, 'cause I felt like it was perfect. Glad Cap's theme is just as good.

Well, I know in the comics Tony Stark used to date a woman called Bethany Cabe (she later ended up working for him) and she was often called Beth.Comment

On second thought, it's probably not her. After reading about her, she seems way to important and random for a cameo like that. Alas, the search for answers continues!
More things to notice:
Stark and Cap's speech about the "sacrifice play" is similar to the one from Ultimate Avengers II.
Also from Ultimate Avengers II, Stark destroys the Chitauri's main ship, which: a. disable's the Chitauri forces on earth b. Knocks him unconscious, and after he falls back to earth, a team member wakes him up. The movie even mirrors the shot of the explosion used in the DTV.
A lot of details to be found, that's for sure.

Yeah, I really doubt that it's her. I just think the name may simply be a shoutout from the moviemakers to the fans who know about the character.Comment
