::laffs:: When hasn't he had the arrogance bug? I love the man's artwork, but I've met him twice and both times he's been an extreme d-bag to the very people who made him popular!!! I heard one kid ask him for a sketch of someone---I think it was Wolverine---and he tells this kid (who was like eleven) "Sure I can do you a Wolverine for $100.00." I wanted to haul off and slug him for being an insensitive prick!!!
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

as Talented as Byrne is he's very opinionated and moans a lot and soon as he get probs he bolts from books..... Some of his last work he did for DC was less than stellar. Doom Patrol and blood of the demon were boring.....I have not read anything he's done since, although I have heard good things about what he did on IDW's Star trek

Even going back to his days on Xmen he was known for trying to take over a project or having strong opinions against those he was working with. I go to his forum sometimes and notice he "corrects" people whenever the opportunity arises. I would never JOIN it because of that and really have become less of a actual fan because of it.

One of the best in the industry when it comes to work load/quality, although it seems sometimes it depends on the project. I actually liked Blood of the Demon, but Doom Patrol i couldnt get into. His return to Next Men was awesome, and it seemed like he had never left it. His IDW work for the most part is pretty good.

With him you will usually get art/story of at least of consistent quality, which is more than I can say about many of the popular artist who have been doing it for a number of decades *cough* (Miller)

Byrne once predicted the end of comic books in the early `80's. I don't know why or for what reason and have never seen the interview where he said this, (if anyone can find it for me I'd love to read it). Gladly he was proven wrong.

His Alien Races: Klingons & Romulans & Dr. McCoy Frontier Doctor wasn't bad, (Dr. M takes place pre-Star Trek-The Motion Picture). Star Trek: Crew was great. It focuses on the Capt. Pike era and ties into his Klingons & Romulans as well as Assignment: Earth spin-off.

The A:E, Trek spin-off doesn't really strike me as being anything like what a real TV show spin-off would have been like. It reads as totally Byrne but was still entertaining. I think he has big plans for Trek.

I may be biased as an FF fan but FF #236 is probably the best thing he has ever done story wise.
