        Haha!

Too bad it's not Terry Austin inking.

Come to think of it, I think I have an Austin Popeye con. sketch someplace. I should try to hunt for that!

For those who don't know - Terry Austin was a longtime inker for John Byrne, and was known for sneaking images of Popeye into the panels:

I think I see his head right by the hand of that orange creature on the left -

Even though Byrne's personality leaves a lot to be desired sometimes, I still wish he was able to get steady work at Marvel or DC. I'd take his "back to basics" approach on anything vs. a "New 52" approach any day of the week...

Can we start a campaign against Popeye? He assaulted a crippled man!!! And a man who is toe-challenged!!!

That's toooooo funny!!! I would LOVE to see Byrne back on some maintream characters again---as long as he had a good inker like Austin. His Popeye rocks!!!
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

From what I've read he has been the center of a lot of controversy and problems at both places. Wikipedia has an article on it. He may have the arrogance bug.
