My screen cap software is mis-behaving so I tried the digital cam method. I will re-try the screen caps throughout the weekend. Here's some results so far. I can'[t get away from the TV scan lines but brightness and darkness can vary. I assume you're going to re-draw it in Photoshop or something anyway? PM your email addy. FB re-sizes these down. I can email them to you original size which will be slightly larger if you want to work with them. Here's the album address. Just scroll to the bottom:

I never noticed that the cover shows TWO ships. I always assumed this was supposed to be Superman's rocket escaping from Krytpon, which is exploding in the background. If there are two ships...then Donner was setting up the Supergirl movie!

^^^I never thought that was the rocket escaping the explosion of Krypton. I always thought it was just generic Buck Rogers/Flash Gordon genre stuff on the cover. That adds a bit more dimension to the use of the comic in the opening.

That's what I thought too....Generic cover although as a Kid who loved Rocketships and Flash Gordon that cover would have caught my eye if it had actually existed. It's kinda like the first 26 issues of Detective comics Great covers but no one gives a flying leap about them until you get to issue 27.
