You could not have said it any better but I guess I'm a sucker for torture. I'm picking it up (so far). I'm hoping this is going to turn out to be DC's version of the Ultimate Universe and the real world is still out there kind of like New Coke and the original.

I am outraged! Incensed! How dare they do this to a character I...oh wait... I don't care. I love the animated Hawkgirl but I've come to understand she's not the same one in the comics.
Kudoo's for trying something new. She looks great for an Earth 2 variant. It's a very different place then you may be used to but so far it's been handled really well and each page makes you want to read another page. A mark of a good comic, yes?Comment

She kinda reminds me of some members of the Shi'Ar race that are born with wings in the Marvel canon.

She's apparently Kendra, and it's Robinson's character originally anyways. Looking forward to seeing what he modifies from his original take on the character now that he does not have the baggage of continuity. He might be doing Reincarnated Egyptian Princess a bit more literally? Meets The Shadow?
Finally read Earth 2 and World's finest. Earth 2 was a really enjoyable read. Basically I think folks should approach this as an Elseworlds and just assume that the original Earth 2 is out in the multiverse somewhere.
Tying Jay Garrick's powers to Mercury is a really obvious choice and I'm really surprised no one tried this previously. Particularly since Earth 2 is probably much of magic/mythic based. Let's just hope he puts on some pants!
Nicola Scott has ratcheted up to a new level on her art since Birds of Prey and Secret Six.
