Perez, love his style. It's clean and crisp, and he doesn't smother the scenes with tons of unneccessary detail.
        A solid, old school artist.

I guess, for me, my absolute faves would be Kirby, Perez and Byrne. All three of these guys put their own indelible fingerprint on the team and they could all draw panels teeming with characters without making them seem overcrowded.
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

Overall for me, it's Perez. His runs in the 70s only got better as he developed as an artist and the 90s run with Busiek is perhaps the best the book has ever looked to me.

But, then again, Kirby's seminal work on the first issues is fantastic. Avengers 4 along with FF 6, 24 and 25 are my favorite Marvel comics. Loved his Hulk.

Byrne would be next. He had some really nice issues.

Adams' Kree/Skrull work is nice, although I like his DC work a bit better than his Marvel. Probably the difference in the inking of Giordano and Palmer.

Don Heck's art used to not do it for me, especially his later work for DC on Flash and JLA, but his Avengers work is really nice. It suffers in my mind from things out his control: him not being Kirby and not getting to work with Iron Man and Thor and even Cap as much as I would've liked.

John Buscema was a fantastic artist, but his work on Conan, Silver Surfer and Thor just had more juice to me than his work on the Avengers.

But, all of those artists did great work on the series, IMO.

Tie between Byrne and Perez, although I think Deodato is just crushing it these days by letting his inner Neal Adams shine... A far cry from the image machine he was on his initial run.

Kirby and Perez immediately spring to mind. Adams, and the Buscema brothers were no slouches either!

George Perez, loved the "Korvac saga" (just watched the revamp episode on the Avengers cartoon, disappointed to see the Guardians of the Galaxy updated to the modern version...would have loved to see an animated Yondu & Martinex!).
Also loved Perez' run on the Heroes Return book, his gypsy outfit Scarlet Witch was excellent!!!

This post didn't even require thought behind it...Perez and Byrne. I know a lot of talented guys worked on the book, but George and John are the examples of how an artist, regardless of the writer, can completely alter the course of a book and leave a lasting legacy for others to aspire to.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.
