AVENGERS Opening Day - $80,517,000.00

THE AVENGERS opened really well with a take (according to Box Office Mojo) of $80,517,000.00. That makes it only second (unfortunately) to HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS, PT. 2 as the top biggest opening day yet. I still have high hopes that it'll have a record shattering opening weekend. And, on the bright side, it did beat out ALL the ^%$#& TWILIGHT movies' opening day records....

The Avengers was the best superhero movie i've seen yet...I don't think Batman is going to come close to this...amazing movie from start to finish.

Come On Mike ...., He is so Damn Over rated By Misguided Fan Boys that Act like they Never Read a Batman Comicbook Before Re-Inventing Characters as He goes Along with Thunderous Applause.

The Avengers are 5 Films, 4 Years in the Making That Lead up to this ..., Not counting The Multiple Projects After this Movie ...., of some of the Most Accurate Comicbook Translations to Movies that I've ever Seen.

I heartily agree, Palitoy! I don't know why it's always seemed to be a "Nolan Batman" versus any other comics-related movies that opens up mentality (when it comes to this genre of films). I think that, as comics fans, we should ALL be tickeled s**tless that we are FINALLY getting good, quality big-screen versions of our favorite characters!!!!
