    GL Animated

I've enjoyed the GL animated series so far, but Saturday's episode that featured the The Star Sapphire was the best yet. Seems like the show may be hitting its stride.

Has an animated Star Wars feel to it and is also influenced storywise by the original Star Trek series.

It's a solid show and getting better. Hope it gets a second season.

I'm really enjoying this show. Incorporates a good amount of the comic lore with it's own take, and like you said, a bit of SW and Trek thrown in for a really good mix.

I have been enjoying the entire hour and a half of shows starting with Thundercats (And that was a pretty good "dogcentric" episode this past Saturday) and ending with Young Justice. My wife has even gotten into GL and looks forward to watching it with me. She asked me if the comics had the Star Sapphires and if Carol Ferris did indeed join them. She even loves the "Supergirl/Batgirl/Wondergirl" shorts.

The "Girls of the DC Universe" short this week was a riot! I laughed myself silly over it!!!
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

I haven't seen the last 2 toons ..., But I like this cartoon so much more than Young Justice.

I never expected the SS's to appear in the series, but I'm glad they did and were handled so well (of course they were, this is Bruce Timm). Gotta love Hal's reaction to seeing Carol in the suit. "You look....gorgeous." (We all know he's drooling like a dog. ) I also laughed at Carol's line: "I'm gonna miss the boots, though."

I actually think Young Justice is gaining a little steam. It was fun seeing Wondergirl and Batgirl and Nightwing and Now Tim as Robin plus Adam Strange. It's still a little mopey, but it's growing on me.

Still miss Brave and Bold, although the shorts between GL and Young Justice help. The super wedgie was unexpected and funny.

Love the Super Best Friends Forever (or whatever it's called) shorts. Would love to see more of those, and much less of those Aardman shorts. Ugh.

The New Teen Titans short last week that showed the various eras of Titans was awesome too.

I was confident the Sapphires would appear since Saint Walker's appearance. We just need the Orange and Indigo Lanterns to go.*

Wife did too... and she's not a boot person.

                  * I didn't include the Yellow Lanterns because we all know they will doing a Sinestro episode before too long.

I sorely miss Batman:TB&TB, and in fact I started out being little insulted that the recent episode of Young Justice seemed to have all the "sidekicks" from Batman... but I wound up liking the episode. Plus Adam Strange (one of the greatest little known DC supers) and Lobo (another favorite of mine who I am pretty confident we'll never see again) really won me over.

Me too! I really had high hopes Aardman was going to repeat the wonderful "Creature Comforts" format and it just falls flat.

I'm a little upset that when they got to the sixties, it wasn't the Filmation Teen Titans (from the old 60's Superman/Batman/Aquaman hour).
