I picked up this great MPC Superman model kit, but upon opening it, discovered the "S" shield decals were mildewed.
Sooo...after trying to figure out how the heck I was going to paint the thing freehand, I was inspired by the Max Fleischer design, and decided to go with it. The result is pretty awesome. I went with a colonial blue/grey for the suit, and the emblem was spray painted on in layers using masking tape and a set of letter stickers. It worked even better than I thought it would.
