I'm there tomorrow morning... first showing of the day in IMAX 3D.
Damn all the critics... I never pay them any heed anyway.

sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

Just got back from seeing it in IMAX 3D, and it was awesome.
Seriously, this movie delivers the goods.
Fear not, no spoilers follow.
If you've read any bad reviews, disregard them totally.
Pretty much everything a fan could realistically want from an Avengers movie is in here.
There are moments when you'll cheer out loud at what's up there on the screen.
The representation of the characters is faithfully carried over from their respective individual movies, so if you liked how the characters were portrayed and interpreted in those, you'll accordingly like how they're handled here.
And the fights and action set pieces are suitably jaw dropping.
(Sure, as a die-hard fan boy, there are still a few issues I have with certain aspects of these Marvel movies, but it's easy to overlook those when a property is adapted with as much dynamism and sheer unbridled enthusiasm as this.)
And the coda features a great cameo from a certain Marvel villain, which promises truly great things for the sequel.
Worth the wait? Damn right. And then some!
