What are the best Jay Garrick Flash Stories?

My favorite is the JLA-JSA teamup in which he was accused of the murder of Mr. Terrific. I think it was JLA 171 and 172 in the late 70s or early 80s. Mark Waid used him well in his run on Wally's Flash series.
The Vandal Savage story (his second SA appearance), I think Flash 137 is a nice SA story and had a cameo of several of the other JSA members
The golden-age stories I've read are a little lackluster like a lot of the golden-age material. I do think it's funny that he was a smoker at least in Flash Comics No. 1. Times have changed. -
There was a story in DC's FOUR STAR SPECTACULAR #1 that I always liked, a Golden Age script that wasn't illustrated until the 70s.

For modern comics, these were great spotlight issues for Jay:
Very touching plot about Jay and his old foe, the Thinker, who is on his deathbed. Also leads to Morrison's intoduction of Jakeem Thunder later on in JLA.
Flashback to Jay and Joan's honeymoon. Features the Three Dimiwits to boot!!!

I had this issue as a kid and really liked this Ragdoll story in it. It was the first time I realized that there was an Earth one and Earth two:
