I love it, and it's exactly what I wanted, and I'm not a bully or an a**hole.
I'm guessing just Spidey Super Stories.

Looks good to me. My one gripe about Toby's Spidey is he didn't wise-crack enough. I think it's because his voice was too whiny and didn't modulate enough.

Seriously, you could put this scene in almost any version of Spider-Man past or present and it would fit. Well, maybe not this version:

It amuses me to no end to think that parallel to the fan driven "no organic webshooters" campaign that preceded the first Toby Maguire movie, that there would a similar campaign launched by forty something Japanese men decrying the fact that this new Spidey did not have a Robot or a car.

Mark Webb, director of the new Spidey flick, has given a few snippets of info on the reboot:

"I wanted to give the audience something new, so that started off with getting underneath the parents' story, which will unfold over probably a few movies.

"We don't totally wrap up that story in this first movie. It's sort of an ongoing mystery. That was something that was interesting to me."
" ...there is no wrestling match in this movie. The character is evolving in a different way."
"He's bitten by a spider...but maybe it's not a radioactive spider. Or maybe it is! You'll have to see."

Sounds like they're giving a lot of screen time to Peter's parents and their story in the reboot. Not really the angle I was hoping for in a new Spidey movie, but I guess we'll have to wait and see how it plays.

I saw the trailer in Imax the other day. I think it's going to be a great film. The stuff with his parents, is that from Ultimate Spider-man? I haven't read it but the impression I got was this movie is largely Ultimate but with web shooters.

The Lizard is wearing a lab coat in one of the new images released from "The Amazing Spider-Man".
              This pleases me greatly!

Not one director or movie studio will ever make everyone happy. Especially comic book fans!

Just enjoy the movie for what it is and that is Spidey movie with a new villian (lizard!)

You want a Marvel Movie to complain about with direction, story, special effects, and acting then lets talk GHOST RIDER 2!

Looks good to me. I was certain I'd dislike First Class, and it ended up being my favorite from last Summer. This is a bit different, a lot less organic than Raimi's, but still has a good vibe. I'm looking forward to this.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.

Raimi's was too cartoonish to me.

Don't get me wrong...I liked the first two flicks...but I still have a bitter taste in my mouth with that horrible third Spidey movie, lol.

MEH!!!!! The shots of Spidey swinging don't look any LESS CGI-ey than Raimi's did and it again looks like Parker spends half of the movie without the mask on. Plus, I'm not really digging on the vibe I'm getting that perhaps Parker was just basically a science experiment cooked up by his pappy and Connors that's just been waiting to be completed. And WHY WHY WHY does EVERY girlfriend have to find out the hero's identity when in the books, it's the one secret that they guard most preciously. This doesn't just apply to SPIDER-MAN, but it seems to be epidemic in most hero films...
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.
