More on "Beware The Batman" CG animated series

    Beware the Batman
A cool, new take on the classic Dark Knight franchise, Beware the Batman incorporates Batman’s core characters with a rogues gallery of new villains not previously seen in animated form. Along with backup from ex-secret agent Alfred and lethal swordstress Katana, the Dark Knight faces the twisted machinations of Gotham City’s criminal underworld led by the likes of Anarky, Professor Pyg, Mister Toad and Magpie. Produced by Warner Bros. Animation, this action-packed detective thriller deftly redefines what we have come to know as a “Batman show.” Featuring cutting-edge CGI visuals to match the intricate twists and turns of the narrative, Batman steps out of the shadows and into the spotlight for an entirely new generation of fans. With WBA’s Sam Register executive producing, and Batman Beyond’s Glen Murakami and Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated’s Mitch Watson producing, Beware the Batman, based on characters from DC Comics, is coming soon to Cartoon Network!

Still not sure how I feel about this one. I'll reserve judgement until an actual episode airs...

Looks like they are trying to leverage the lesser rogues.

Magpie was created by John Byrne.

Anarchy was Alan Grant's poke at V for Vendetta. If Warners didn't own the rights to V in the same kind og deal as Watchmen, you can bet their would be lawsuits.

I have reduced the massive image size for you. This iPad image blindness is mighty troublesome.

And put me down as not a fan of the CGI trend with Warner superheroes.

Cool. He looks less creepy now.

And it doesn't seem that bad. GL has awesome animation. Plus, several people from TCW are working on it. That's the only show that, perhaps, excedes Pixar movies. Hate on me all you want, but that's how I feel.

CGI turns me off. The idea seems okay. Batman: The Animated Series was tough to beat and I haven't seen anything since that really lights me up.

Mina is the world's first Paranormal Petsitter in the new middle-grade book series by Gary Buettner, MONSTER PETS, coming in FALL 2014 from EMBY KIDS. Spooky adventure that's perfect reading for kids 8-12

                              Thanks Scott. Sorry about that!

I prefer traditional animation too, but I understand the need to mix it up a bit. DC has had a Batman cartoon in continuous production since the mid 90s, so I can see where they'd want to take a new approach on the visuals. I'm kind wishing that's all they had done, but I won't judge until I see it.

GL is working in CGI though. I'm enjoying it.
