I've got a baaaad feeling about this...

Here's a thing I saw over on Cosmic Book News. The image they posted almost screams "Joel Schumacher" on steroids, which could not bode well for the Caped Crusader. Just take a gander at this photo and you'll see what I mean...

Cruise on over to Cosmic Book News to read the whole story (I tried posting a link, but no-go).

You can also do a Google search for the show and see possibly more than you want to...
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

I hope they don't have the same issues that the Broadway version of Spiderman had.

I can't wait for this, it's for kids and from what I've heard it's great.

Comic book fans will have to look elsewhere to nit pick, it's just an "ice capades" type live show that is supposed to be fun. Yay, non dark Dark Knight!

Well, as long as it's meant to be "fun," then that's a different story. I thought they were trying to bring Batman to the masses in a different way than theaters. I'm also glad to see a non-Dark Knight Bats, mind you, just not quite sure why they went with such a Schumacher-type feel to the Batsuit. You'd think for a musical/dance show, they'd go with the old, reliable Batsuit, which would allow the performer more flexibility. Perhaps they don't think todays audiences would recongnize him in that appearance...?

Some of the effects they are using to create the city and the atmosphere are really effective. I want to go see it if it comes to Toronto.

I would LOVE for this to come near. I have absolutely no problem with a kid-friendly version of Batman. I have more of a problem with a NON-kid-friendly version of Batman.
