    Comic Rack

Is anyone familiar with Comic Rack? It's primarily a program I use for reading ecomics but I've started using to catalog my physical comics. There is an add on called Comic Vine Scrapper that searches the net for info on each book and gives a thumbnail of the cover and everything.

Here is a picture of what it would look like. I'm still trying to figure out how I can print them off. You can adjust the size of the comics etc on the screen.

So far I've just done my Batman and related issues. I have waaaay to many comics it seems.

I have the entire run of Nightwing minus 3 issues (I can't figure out why I don't have them!)

Cool. I know I have WAY too many comics. Not sure I want that cemented in my mind.

I gave up on Nightwing into Devin Grayson's run. Horrible.

It was a real shame that Chuck Dixon is not recognized for building pretty much all of the Batman Family titles from the ground up. Particularly since Robin, Birds of Prey, and Nightwing all did the improbable by topping 100 issues... Which can easily be attributed to Dixon's long run on those titles, and nurturing them as miniseries first. I believe he also launched the Catwoman ongoing as well, which Only didn't reach 100 on a technicality when Darwyn Cooke and Ed Brubaker came on with a new #1.

He seems to be doing fine on the GI Joe titles right now, and with his Dark Knight Rises money for creating Bane, I'm sure he can now build a money bin to swim around in like Uncle Scrooge.

Is Comic Rack a good free comic book database? Or does anybody have a suggestion for one?
It was like that when I got here.

Chuck is good people, and Gotham took a nose-dive when he left for CrossGen. He managed to write gritty stories without making the characters morose and overly dark. He has to be one of the best comic writers as far as action sequences and believable dialog. Gail Simone did some good work on BOP, but Robin and Nightwing never recovered. His Detective run is what I consider the last great run of Batman and Robin.

I've been using it to catalog my collection. There are a few comics it couldn't find info on like Batman:Ghosts, but one or two out of my collection of 1900 isn't too bad all things considered.

It is primarily a comic reader. It's when I found this free add on called Comic Vine Scrapper that I realized it would be great to keep track of my paper books.

I found a video on youtube that gives a demo to how it works.

And I too am a huge fan of Chuck Dixon's work. I have to agree that neither Robin nor Nightwing were ever the same after he left. I got him to sign Robin #0 for me.
