I've been waiting for this movie forever.
As a die-hard fan of the comics, I still have concerns/issues with various aspects of the Marvel movies so far... but if they can pull this off... it will be nothing short of spectacular... a true milestone in comic book films.

I think the marketing people really, really missed an opportunity to pose him in classic Kirby poses and make a few awesome posters for promo......they take the easy way out and just have him standing around....without the FREEKING helmet!!!

I don't get what's wrong with the pose he's in. He looks very intimidating, and I wouldn't want to mess with him. And yeah, I wanted him wear a helmet too, even if it was just briefly.

Having always favored MARVEL over DC, I look forward to the MARVEL releases. I enjoy the STAN LEE cameos.

I am looking forward to the AVENGERS. The set up (HULK, IRON MAN, THOR, CAPTAIN AMERICA) has been enjoyable.

His cameos are always funny/heroic/touching. I wonder which path they're going for in The Avengers.

Marvel Studios have made some of the best comic-book adaptations, while grounding them in reality. I wonder how they can do so in The Avengers. I'm sure it'll be good either way.

Captain America with an alien gun. Looks like a different one from the one Widow had. Does that mean hers was a rifle, and his is a....bazooka?

Cap would've looked sooooo much better if they'd've just given the man his freakin' wings, made the "A" on his cowl larger and let his ears stick out (like they do in most of the promo art). Still, at this point, I'm not too worried 'cause it looks like he spends most of the movie cowl-less.

As for Hawkeye---well----I guess that's how some SHIELD agents just dress...
