Six Hero Movies In One Day

Don't know if this a national thing, but one of the AMC theaters near me is having a single ticket, all-day event ending with the midnight premiere of 'The Avengers.'

For $40, you get to see Iron Man, Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Thor, Capt America: The First Avenger and the premiere of the The Avengers.

Too much for my butt, but maube otheres here might be interested.

AMC Theatres Presents: The ULTIMATE Marvel Marathon
    WANTED - Solid-Boxed WGSH's, C.8 or better.

That's awesome. I don't think I could do it, schedule-wise, and I wouldn't want to be that warn out before Avengers, but it's a cool idea. I plan on doing that at home and watching them in the week or so leading up to the premiere.

I just don't see the point. I remember when Return of the Jedi came out (now that was an event!). I watch all 3 Star Wars movies in an all day cinema thing. My butt was sore just from watching 3 movies. No, I will pop Iron Man, Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Thor, Capt America: The First Avenger in the dvd over the 3 days running up to the Avengers and spend the $40 on a cinema ticket and something to eat afterwards.

Yeah, I'll be doing a nightly blu-ray marathon leading up to it, but I want to be fresh when I see it. And there is work. But, I think it's a neat idea for those who want to do it.

A few weeks back I did all 3 Back To The Futures at the movies and I was tired after the third. It's a good idea to show all the Marvel movies that lead to the Avengers but it is too much.

Sounds awesome! Is it only for the 3D release though? The free 3-D glasses look cool though. (Cap's and Iron Man's look the best!)

they are sticking it to you.

I saw a Spiderman, Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2 and Thor 3D for Thor opener for 7 bucks. anymore movies would have been too much.

There was a costume contest as well (which I lost to my own kids)

They're free since you're not paying $10 plus $40 for them. Elementary my dear Watson.

This sounds like a fabulous idea. If I had the free time to sit in a movie theater for that many hours. And my arse wouldn't fall asleep.....
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

There's obviously going to be breaks in-between movies. Your *** should be fine. Besides, I'll be sitting on the edge of my seat with exciment (never IM, IM2, or TIH in theaters) to worry whether my butt's alseep!

40 bucks for 4 second run movies and glasses and the Avengers. Pretty sure they are still coming out ahead over you.

                            AMC Deal:
                            $40 for 6 movies, plus free 3-D glasses = $40.

                            Regular price:
                            $51 for 6 movies, plus $10 3-D glasses = $61.

                            Price difference: $21
Price difference (if you don't buy the glasses): $11

Both ways, I'd say the AMC Deal has the better price.
