    Toronto Comicon this weekend.

George Perez, Phil Jiminez, Chris Sprouse and Frank Cho! I hope the line-ups aren't too long.
    Toronto Comicon - March 10-11, 2012

plus Scott Snyder and Yanick Paquette, who I think are just doing killer stuff on the New Swamp Thing.

I'm going Sunday. I need to dig up some stuff to get signed by Perez and Francis Manapul.

Right after that rant, they hustled and got the line moving. We were in twenty minutes later so it wasn't a total fail like it has been in the past. No vintage toys to speak of really but 20 bucks isn't bad for the event.

Carl, it seems that the ridiculous line-up problem they seemingly fixed a couple of years ago recurred again for whatever inexplicable reason, before they fixed it and got everyone in a large surge after a frustrating wait.

If they are going to have shorter con hours (11:00 opening) I really don't see how they could keep people waiting like that for hours just to get in.

Hopefully the you won't experience the same problem we had tomorrow morning now that so many got their two day bracelets.

Other than that, I enjoyed the con today. A reasonable price for two days ($33). Not a chance of getting a sketch from Perez if you weren't camped out all day, but I got one book signed by him, as well as books signed by Mark Bagley and Frank Cho. Got to sit in on some interesting panels.

Lots of stuff there for new Doctor Who fans, a really good table of reasonably priced vintage Star Wars. Saw the EMCE zombie kit at two booths. plenty for Anime fans (including an awkwardly large selection of those Japanese full body love pillows). although not being a gamer, I wasn't sure the point of taking up a big space in the middle of the con floor for gaming rather than giving them their own room somewhere.

Won passes to Cabin in the woods this week. drank way too much free energy drink. Spent twenty bucks on overpriced pizza.

Other than the hiccup at the beginning, it was a positive experience.

Sunday sounds a lot different then Saturday. It wasn't very busy. I'm kind of mad at myself for buying tickets online. It cost me $2 extra and I didn't get a nice little ticket to keep as a souvenir as opposed to me friend who walked in, paid $20 and got a ticket and got in just as fast as me.

I didn't buy much. I was looking for a "rock paper scissors lizard spock" shirt for my girlfriend but couldn't find one. I got her a David Tennant action figure which would look good next to her Tardis.

I got myself an oversized Batman comic book from 1977. It's like an early version of a trade paperback. It collected the first appearance of Ras Al Ghoul.

Otherwise, nothing else to speak of. It was a fun day. I only spent seven on the pizza but I was only buying for me.

I liked the relaxed pace of Sunday as well.

George Perez panel was the highlight for me on day two, again didn't line up early enough to get on his sketch list.

What was a shame though... Perez only had less than half of the small room. A few dozen at his panel. When it should have been in the big room packed to the rafters IMHO, but Perez really is aware of the fickleness of tastes and how hard he has to work to stay on top.

I also got advance tickets, before I pressed send I thought "The last time I did this, it did no good, I hope they cleared that mess up"

Nope! Still as pointless as ever.

You see when you buy advance tickets at other shows like Chiller Theatre or Motor City, IT MEANS SOMETHING.

You go in the advance tickets line and walk right in when the doors open. I have no idea why that concept doesn't apply at these shows.
