That was a good cartoon. Most of the 90's Marvel cartoons were good. (The Hulk wasnt as good in the second season if I remember right)

The 2nd season of FF was really well done. The first seasons of it and Iron Man are pretty rough though.

even back then the CG inserts of the armour in Iron Man were kind if out Of place and jarring. I appreciated the use of the West Coast Avengers in that series though.

Toy biz did do some great figures for that series... Some great vac metallic Iron Man variants.

The 2nd season of FF was really well done. The first seasons of it and Iron Man are pretty rough though.

They were gawdawful, that FF theme tune was a terrible pizza place jingle.

Both shows really picked up in quality as I recall though.

I tried watching the FF, but the first couple of episodes were so bad I didn't bother to watch the rest. Maybe I'll give it another shot.

I like the way Batman the Animated series loosely adapted stories, cherry picking ideas rather than strictly following the plots. It was familiar yet new.

I also liked how they would use aspect of old movies to tell stories. The episode "It's Never Too Late" is a loose adaption of the old James Cagney/Pat O'Brien/Humphrey Bogart "Angels with Dirty Faces." It borrow story elements but has its own twists.

no comparison between the DC cartoons of that period and Marvel... DC wins hands down due to the talents of Dini, Timm and co. You really can't break that streak of Batman, Superman, Batman Beyod, JLU... And of course the alumnus for those that even went on to do Teen Titans, Statc Shock and Brave and Bold.

Yeah, the 90s FF cartoon really improved immeasurably for the second season, after they changed animation studios.
Same with Iron Man.
But I preferred the first season of 90s Hulk.
90s Spidey and X-Men were consistently good across all seasons.

See, I can't hardly watch the 90s Spider-Man. The pacing is too frantic. The action is way overly-melodramatic. X-Men is a bit better, but that show proved Timm right; the designs were too comic-like and complicated for animation. The shadowing of the figures often seemed to be moving independent of the character.
