    Favorite Batman and Robin story/comic

Every Batman fan has a laundry list of favorite stories featuring the Dark Knight, but it seems most of them are solo adventures.

With that in mind, what are some of the best Batman and Robin stories/comics?

Not really thinking about the newer series first featuring Grayson and Damian and now Bruce and Damian, but older stories in which you rarely got Batman without Robin.

Another great Batman and Robin story of the modern era is "To Kill a Legend" from Detective #500. A rare team-up after Robin was off to college. There's a reason it's made it into every "Greatest Batman Stories" book. Written by Alan Brennert, just like B&B #182 above.

I'm not much of a "Robin" guy... but dang if he doesn't save the day in that
Moore classic "FOR THE MAN WHO HAS EVERYTHING"... funnily enough
ROBIN was the one that was written out of that one for the JLU TV episode.

Good call. Not only was it Robin, it was Jason Todd (the pre-Crisis version)! It was his finest moment as Robin, IMHO. I think he was left out of the JLU episode because Robin was tied up in the Teen Titans toon at the time.

In recent memory, Bruce Jones wrote a really terrific, under rated Scarecrow Year 1 mini that tied into Batman Begins. I haven't seen anyone write young Dick Grayson as well and as capable in quite some time.

                  Thanks for the suggestions.

While it's retcon, I really enjoyed Chuck Dixon's Robin Year One. His Batgirl Year One is good, too, for that matter.

After watching JLA: Doom last night, DC cartoon movies are on my mind. I think Robin's origin story is still a pretty cool. It might make a decent cartoon movie.

Love the 50's World's FInest stuff when it got all crazy science fiction with the stories. Also really enjoy Infantino's New Look work.

That was an excellent series. I loved all of Chuck's run on the Bat-titles, including Robin and Nightwing. This had a nice follow-up in Nightwing afterwards too.

After watching JLA: Doom last night, DC cartoon movies are on my mind. I think Robin's origin story is still a pretty cool. It might make a decent cartoon movie.
"Robin's Reckoning" is my personal favorite BTAS episode (the first part especially). It's the series at it's best.

Another great retcon Robin story is "Batman:The Gauntlet", where Robin has to pass his final exam to be Batman's partner.
