    I am really digging the design...all of these busts look fantastic. I'm definitely picking up the Lizard and both Spidey variants.

    Ugh, ugh and double ugh on all of them! The Lizard doesn't even remotely LOOK like The Lizard, I HATE Spidey's yellow eyes, and I refuse to buy a bust of Spider-Man where he's not wearing the mask....!

    I can already tell I do NOT like where this movie is headed at all....

    ::sighs::
    sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

      The Lizard does look like the Ditko version...in those early stories he didn't even have any teeth. I do miss the labcoat, but overall I think it's a great design. As for Spidey's yellow eyes, they look much darker in the movie...almost black. Anyway, a quick touch up with some paint will take care of it. I love the sculpt.

          I'm not much on the way they went with the looks of the character, but the sculpt itself is amazing on the bust. And, the Spidey stuff looks pretty cool too. See, there's a better shot of the figure from another thread. Looks much better in this lighting. I don't mind the yellow eyes. It's a different dynamic.

            Once again they dropped the ball on the translation from Comic to Movie(he should have a snout). That said, he's a pretty cool looking Monster...just not the Lizard I wanted. But he's still 10 times better then the "Power Rangers" Goblin.
            In the end, it won't be the Lizard's redesign that makes or breaks the movie. Like all movies...it all comes down to whether or not they tell a good story. Story is EVERYTHING.

              It's not a bad design, but it's not very "Lizard-like" to me. Probably another case of "Nolan-envy". It's a bit more "realistic" than a fully realized comic version would be.

              Notice the proto-Spidey costume bust?

                Looks like they recycled the makeup from the Super Mario Brothers film.

                      It looks very much like Steve Ditko's Lizard

                      Not bad.

                        He does...but I was hoping for the Gil Kane style Lizard.

                          It does look somewhat like Ditko's Lizard, but I think the face is still too...human? It looks more like a reptilian alien than a monster. It's missing the horrific elements of Ditko's design. I agree with Dane that a more Kane-like design would have been nice, with the elongated snout. I wouldn't have wanted McFarlane's gator-Lizard though.

                          I'm sure it will work within the context of the movie fine. But now I will have a hard time not thinking of that Super Mario movie...

                            I'm not exactly emotionally attached to the Lizard as a character. I really don't care what he looks like so long as it reminds me of a lizard-man. Which this does. And based on the picture above, it does look like Ditko's Lizard as well as the Lizard from the old Spidy cartoons from the 60's (which I watch every night at 10:30 on Teletoon Retro).

                            As far as the yellow eyes go, well, I've seen the trailer at work and his eyes don't seem yellow. More like mirror lenses or something silver. Those are toys might be prototypes.

                            The yellow looks nice on this one bust:
