I grabbed the first issue or two of a couple Batman titles and one or two JLA. They were OK, but now I feel bad throwing them away. Send me a PM and I'll send them your way. Also reply to this post so everyone else knows they're taken.

I was curious, but I don't buy comics like I used to. Too expensive. I like stuff like Astro City, Powers and Hellboy, stuff that is kinda out of editorial tampering. I love the DC characters, but I don't need everything I need to be re-booted, re-imagined or otherwise jacked with. Morrison's JLA (from what seems like long ago) struck the right chord with me. I think they're going to wind up re-booting the reboot anyway, why get attached?

Couldn't get me near the Jim Lee-iverse for anything. All I tried was Frankenstein and OMAC. OMAC's cancelled and I'll trade wait MAYBEEEE for Frankie. The rest of it looks so dull and overly noodled with.

I have no interest...The only DC characters I like are the Doom Patrol and DC cancelled that before the reboot (so they lost a reader).

Whatever, the horrid redesigns you can have. And I'm not nearly as narrow minded as that when it comes to comic art(I'd post a list but am sure you'd nitpick it too). I just really hate the stuck in the 90's Image mentality that Lee, Johns, Didio, Harras and Liefeld have brought to DC. Its really a shame that the company has sank to this level of garbage.

The redesigns have indeed been horrible. if you've seen any of the sketches/costime designs in the last few pages of any of the comics most of them say "based on a design by Jim Lee". So responsibility lies mainly with him...

There are so many good titles right now that it should be easy to ignore the bad ones like JLA.

Batman by Capullo and Snyder is AMAZING!
Flash, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Batgirl, Supergirl, and Red Hood are my other favorites every month. As much as I hate Grant Morrison on Batman, I like him on Superman in Action Comics.

Yeah, I don't like the Jim Lee designs either. The armor and speed lines are not needed. The 90's fashion should stay in the 90's. It's not enough to deter me from reading my favorite heroes. Especially if the stories have been good...which they have for the most part.

I've seen this whole venture as just another gimmick to make a quick buck. But the obvious part about re-branding superheroes is it's seldom ever permanent. So I imagine it won't be long before the classic look is celebrated once again. And that will be the next big "event".

I'm really loving the redesigned Greek gods inWonder Woman, I'm not sure if Cliff Chiang is primarily designing these, but I think they would make great action figures... Particularly Hades as a kid with melted candles on his head. Creepy creepy stuff.

I think it's great that he didn't feel limited to making them all human looking. I was also really impressed with Hades. Hermes looks good too, though he's in bad shape right now.
