The Dark Knight Rises: Catwoman Statue/Costume

This 1:6 scale statue probably is our best look at the complete,(?), Catwoman costume from the upcoming film. The pic is from Monsters In Motion and can it be pre-ordered:

I like the cat's eye effect the googles give, wish she had the cat ears in that mode, would make for a cool shillouette.

I remember in another thread someone said the pose was too exploitive
of her body... I didn't see that as much as I saw them just putting her in a
"cat"-like pose... which, to me, makes sense.

as far as being exploitive of her body.....it's a comic book character for crying out loud. all female comic characters are drawn with perfect curves

I think part of the problem is the promo shot there is definitely shot to show off her posterior. Just about every female collector statue or action figure has a curvacious booty. Nothing new there.

I like the suit. It works in the context of the film, but gives a nice shout out to the many incarnations of Catwoman, from Julie Newmar to Darwyn Cooke.

              Hmmmm....

Another resounding "meh." WAY too generic. "Wether running from Batman, fighting Lycans or stalking Trevor Goodchild, our new action suit is for you!"

I see a lot of woman and very little cat.
Can't say I'm impressed with the design...

                      What would you change?

As far as "outfit" anything more and we'd be surpassing the 60s show in satire style.

Do you mean the statue's pose?

Nolan backs himself into a corner in that regard... wouldn't you agree?

(i.e. picking a character ike Catwoman to appear in an uber realistic universe)

I like it okay, but it doesn't grab my attention so much as the extremely exaggerated gluteous maximus (not that there's anything wrong with a fine hiney, mind you). I think it's there to distract you away from the fact that she doesn't really look very cat-like. Had Nolan really studied the Catwoman outfit from the 60s show and made some updates, he could've had a really good Catwoman suit. Of course, a lot of it is going to depend on how "catty" Anna Hathaway comes across AS the character. Julie Newmar, IMHO, really nailed it like no one else....
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

Ann Hathway's booty has nothing on both Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow) and Kate Beckinsale (Selena).
