    The Defenders

Is anybody reading this? I am.

I like it so far. Not sure the purpose of why Betty Banner AKA "The Red She Hulk" is there in place of the Incredible Hulk.

I love the interaction between Strange and the Red She Hulk. He has to say something to her to "make her angry" so she could "reverse Hulk-out" (yes odd).
Whatever it was it was so perverted that she kept referring to Dr. Strange as "creep."

The whole Black Hulk thing is weird and I hope the story line picks up a little bit more.
I'd like to see Nighthawk, Hellcat or Hellstrom come back into the book to make it a little more closer as the "Defenders".

Anyone else have thoughts on this book?

I've been reading it..I think only two issues so far. I would prefer the "normal" Defenders, i.e. GREEN Hulk and Nighthawk, etc. Maybe they'll get to them eventually

Does the Black HULK end the Feb issue with a PSA about Black History Month?

I've picked up every issue so far, and it's okay... Not overly impressed with the writing, but will give the book a chance for the first couple of story arcs at least.

Kind of wish Doc Strange would wear his classic gear, and yeah... I'm also really hoping the green Hulk rejoins the ranks at some point.
Would be great if Valkyrie rejoined too, but I don't we'll be seeing her in there anytime soon, at least not until she finishes her tour of duty in the Secret Avengers.

Heck that don't matter anymore. How many teams is Wolverine on?
Plus Namor is on some X-men team and has time for the Defenders. They could bring Val in anytime. As for the green Hulk, I think they are saving him for some Avengers special coming out but like the heroes above there is no reason why he can't be a Defender.
Honestly, that's why I picked Defenders up as a kid in the 80s. I saw Hulk on the cover. With no green Hulk it's kind of like the Beatles missing John Lennon on the reunion jam DVD in the Beatles Anthology the last DVD in 1996.

I'm enjoying as I'm a big Defenders fan. I pretty much assumed Red She-Hulk is there because they decided not to use Valkyrie at this time and the Defenders are way better with some female members. The original run picked up in the months after Valkyrie was added and hit a nice stride after Hellcat joined.

Nighthawk was killed off you are corrected but it was later revealed to be alive, but in a coma and brain dead. Through supernatural means, he was revived and resumed his crime-fighting career, and co-starred in the 12-issue run of The Defenders vol. 2 (March 2001 - Feb. 2002) and the miniseries The Order #1-6 (April - Sept. 2002). Afterward, he appeared in the team comics New Thunderbolts #15-18 (Jan.-April 2006) and Thunderbolts #100-108 (May 2006 - Jan. 2007), and was among the many heroes featured in the miniseries Civil War #1-7 (July 2006 - Jan. 2007).
Nighthawk went onto to appear sporadically in Avengers: The Initiative, beginning with issue #1 (June 2007). Nighthawk formed a short-lived version of the Defenders with the mutant Colossus, the Blazing Skull, and She-Hulk, as part of the Initiative, and depicted in the miniseries The Last Defenders #1-6 (May - Oct. 2008).

Which goes to show, nobody is really dead in comic books.
