We love GA but the general pop really don't know him. The smallville connction would have made it plausible. Without it, it is dead in the water.

Thats true. The connection with the Smallville audience (a pretty popular show dispite my opinion) would at least helped in initial ratings.

Smallville did kind of box Ollie in with Chloe at the end of the series. They would probably have to undo that for a series. But I still think they could have worked it out and left it sort of open if this was exactly the same Ollie as in the Smallville-verse.

Apparently Katie Cassidy (David's daughter) has been cast as "Laurel" (as in Dinah Laurel Lance, Black Canary). In addition, Oliver Queen is getting a mother and a younger sister...Ugh....
