course it has been a while since i read it and when i opened it to give it to him found that he colored in the cover page.....oh well, it is a well read and worn copy anyway. i am just glad he is reading it

Glad hes reading the good stuff. I was 13 when that book was first released and missed it all the way up to when the first Batman movie came out. So hes getting a early start on the Miller stuff, lol.

It's never too early for politics, propaganda and hidden messages.

I was the only member of my inner geek circle in school who liked this book. Nobody could get past the sloppy artwork, but I was somehow able to delve into the meat of the story. Funny how I could never do that with Jack Kirby's work. I loved his designs but very much disliked his panel to panel work. As a old guy now I am able to tolerate it more.
