I used to love this man. Well, his art anyway. Do we REALLY need another FF knockoff...?
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

TRIO has me intrigued. I'll check out the first few issues.
For me, anything new by JB is worth a look.

I love Byrne. I also like that he didn't "over ink" it for a change. Nice clean lines...I like!

I dunno, Byrne has left me cold the last few years. His Doom Patrol was very bland, his art is lacking something lately. Can't quite put my finger on it, but I kind of get a stuck in the 80's vibe from him and his designs of late.

I never liked his stuff. This doesn't change that.

Looks like something he would have done at Charlton a hundred years ago....

In going back and looking at the pic closer, it ALMOST looks like Byrne is channeling a little bit of Kirby on this piece. The inks feel kind of Kirby-esque.

Byrne IS very much a '80s style artist, which really is his appeal. I'll give this a chance because he usually puts an interesting take on any idea he does. Kinda wish he had brought back Danger Unlimited though.
Art wise he has this quick method he uses now that he has down to a science. He could still turn out three books a month and still be better than 99% of the current crop of artist.

True, but i think some of his new stuff is very bland and boring, Doom Patrol was boring.....

Although he still can draw some amazing angles, still can draw better than most modern day artist.....

Given that this Trio appears to be Rock, Paper and Scissors, let's at least hope he's having some fun with it. Not really my cup of tea.
