I have to say, the mildly disgruntled Hessian red Skull about to listlessly toss a grenade at Colonial Cap is one of the funniest things I have seen in the past hour. He looks so bored.

Looks like it could have been a redesign for Cap in the 60s or something? Maybe to get him away from Simon somewhat? The artwork looks like Kirby's stuff from the 60s onward.

My own haphazard guess would be that it's an early version of his redesign of the Shield/Private Strong.

Given how many Kirby sleuths there are out there, it might only be a matter of time before something surfaces giving a clue.

Jack always played with the american flag in his designs, That un named drawing defo looks like his 60's work.......I just call him Captain Kirby...
