The J.Jonah Jameson character was so well used in the Raimi movies. His manic personality served the series well by providing some comic relief which, I think, balanced the concept well. Had a lesser director tried to conceive him literally, like he is so poorly done in modern cartoons, he would have been bland and campy. J.J. Simmons is a rare talent. He will be hard to replace. And not having the character at all will certainly give the movie a void people will notice. I feel confident our first big trailer will come during the Superbowl. So, for Spidey's sake, that trailer better be firing on all cylinders.
