Nope... pretty sure it's just you.

(Only because I don't have a comic shop closer than an hour and a half away.)

      Hmmmm....

Me either, although I've been resisting the urge to get them weird "Life With Archie" duo-timeline stories. (If they explain what happened to Pepper I'm gonna hafta, though.)

KISS with or ON anything is no longer a novelty. To say the marketplace is saturated is an understatement. I was in an FYE record store today and they had these huge stuffed pandas dressed in KISS gear. They were discounted just like the KISS Christmas bulbs. I believe the KISS brand is becoming passe'.

                  My point exactly.

She was one of the Josie cast before they became a band. She was replaced by Valerie. I imagine she's in the landfill on the edge of Riverdale; along with Betty's sister, Archie's first dog, Archie's grandpa, Lottie Little, "Streaky"....

I'm as big a fan of KISS as anybody. I saw those comics yesterday and couldn't bring my self to buy them.

I got tired of all that kind of stuff in the nineties.
I like those Archie double digest. I still pick one up in certain grocerie stores.

The most I see Archie comics is the digest's at Wallymart and even they are disappearing lately. I bought the Archie Punisher crossover years ago. That was enough for me.

I think if the comic companies really wanted to promote their characters they should bring digest sized books to the counters. DC did this back in the seventies and early eighties with Blue Ribbon. They were some of the first comics I ever read and was a good introduction to Batman, Superman, etc. Usually they were just reprints of silver age material but to my eyes they were a alsome brand new adventure. I have fond memories of grabbing those when I could along with Archies back when I was like nine or so.
