My God, wouldn't that be great!?

I can almost enjoy FF1, but Doom's casting/characterization kills it for me...

How wonderful to see Evans later as Cap, though.
I think that's what really stunk up those movies. Doom. The casting wasn't perfect, but it worked. I think Reed was portrayed as too vulnerable and not decisive enough, but it worked. Doom didn't work. It didn't even make sense. Stunt casting with the flavor of the week actor there. He worked a little better in the second, but still...they screwed up Marvel's greatest villain. Look what they did with Magneto in First Class and it will about make you cry!

Give Pixar the rights to do FF, Antman and the X-men(original team) Brad Bird directing them.......and I'll be one Happy camper.....

I know that the Singer and Vaughn have talked about moving the timeline up a decade or so(80's perhaps?) for the next movie. And Vaughn has said that he's only adding one new X-Man. I hope it's Cyclops!

I like Daniel Craig, but when he's ready to retire, I think Fassbender would make a great Bond. He's more classically handsome than Craig (who's a bit thuggy looking), so he gives you the more sophisticated, elegant Bond of Moore and Bronsan, but he can obviously play the killing machine bad-arse exemplified by Craig and Connery.

Well, as Chris just mentioned...I think Fassbender would make a GREAT James Bond.

Fassbender would be perfect to play Cable.

I thought the lack of the original 5 (well, minus Beast) would bother me, but in the end it didn't. Once I accepted that this worked within the movie continuity (mostly), and that Cyclops could have a brother that much older than him, I was okay. I think the movie was way too compelling to worry about such things.

Fassenbender lived up to all the hype you guys gave him in previous threads. The man would make a great Batman, Dr. Doom and an excellent James Bond. Basically any intense character who needs to dominate the screen.

The period nature of the movie was very nice. It felt a bit like a classic Bond film at times.

    Again, a GREAT movie!

I LOVED X-Men:First Class! But like you guys I wish they had used the original 5, but oh well...still an awesome movie! I rated it 2nd behind Captain America...Cap was exactly what I wanted it to be. It was the perfect Super Hero movie!

Yeah it was a great movie wasn't it...I thought it has been the best comic movie thus far.
It has a real old fashion comic book feel to me.

Put me down as a big fan. I loved the retro stylishness of it, something new in a superhero movie.

I watched it at the theaters. I really hated it. I took my boys to see it, and they liked it, so that's all that mattered.

Really, really enjoyed it. I think they could/should have adhered a little closer to the period (and I also miss the original 5) but overall it was a very fun watch.
