The individual episodes with Flash (Mirror Master), Green Lantern (Sinestro and Penguin), Green Arrow (Vertigo) and Superman (Metallo) were really good. Well worth watching. If Hawkman has had an indiviual episode I missed that one.

I haven't seen The Batman but I have seen JL & JLU by Bruce Timm, Paul Dini and Co. and these other guys will have to work pretty hard to hold a candle to Timm & Dini's work. Maybe when these appear at my local video rental place I'll check them out. I don't see why Timm and Dini and company were not asked back to do more shows. JLU could've benefitted from having another 13 episodes to resolve some of the loose ends. These guys were really on a roll and every season cliffhanger topped the previous one almost exponentially.

At the time JL was made Hal Jordan was dead to DC. They included Kyle Rayner in one episode of Superman TAS as Earth's GL, even re-writing the Jordan origin story with Kyle in it. I think he resisted using Kyle for the JL series so he fell back on John Stewart instead. Hal appears in a time paradox episode where because of a time traveler reality keeps shifting and GL goes from being John Stewart to Hal. It would've been nice if that whole episode had been Hal Jordan. In the behind the scenes they said they had an idea where they would try and do the original JL line up but it never came about. The only result of those story meetings was they brought Hawkman into the show.
