Who was your favourite New Mutant?

It always excited me that they introduced a team of teenage mutants as an update of the original X-Men concept. It's unfortunately that so very few of them actually graduated into becoming full X-Men (Cannonball?).

Which characters from the various incarnations of New Mutants/Generation X/New X-Men are you favourites?

I have to admit the Bill Sienkievitch's intro of Warlock, a character that reflects his stylized and expressionistic art style was a pretty bold move, although the character didn't really find his personality for me until I saw how Art Adams handled him.

I'm also fond of Beak from Morrison's New X-men.

Rahne Sinclair, Wolfesbane is one character that really got to evolve under Peter David in both his X-Factor runs (As well as the Rahne prestige one-shots). Hopefully they don't mess her up too much in the X-Force revival.

The New Mutants never really did much for me....although I liked the initial graphic novel and first several issues moreso than the X-Force revamp under Liefeld. As far as favorites, pretty much the original group...Sunspot, Karma, Cannonball, Wolfsbane and Mirage. I dug the Xavier School uniforms they wore. Although I remember buying the title during the Sienkiewicz run, I must say I didn't think it fit the X-Men world very well.

I"m glad they added Magik into the mix following her miniseries.

I always thought that character was a good gateway into more supernatural storylines in the X-Men Universe (in the same way that Raven allowed the Teen Titans to take on Mystic threats).

Loved the concept of her soul armour and sword.

I agree...I've always like the Character! I didn't like the way killed Her off. And just before that...They killed Colossus's Parents.

I think the Rasputin secondary mutation is coming back from the dead.

They also killed the older brother (Mikhail? He was a cosmonaut I think) and Colossus himself was six feet under for a few years there. Both of them came back.

Illyana is back from the dead right? I seem to recall that there was another Magick miniseries a few years back.
