I thought they played a lot of the characters way too close to each other, and even had actors done up so's to look way too similar. Nothing really stood out, and the weird was dialed down to "5."

I thought they were both really solid superhero movies. From what I've observed and experienced people respond a lot more to action/adventure movies when the villain is really strong - and in that sense "The Dark Knight" had a little more going for it.

I'm not sure "The Dark Knight" would be as good on it's own - I think the first movie sets everything up very well. Though, I guess a lot more people saw the second one and still liked it.

I guess it's hard for me to know, because I saw them in order.

The problem I had with it was it took an hour to get him into the batsuit. I still liked it better than Dark Knight though.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I'm a big fan. This is how I like my Batman. Obsessed, but not insane. Distant, but compassionate. I liked how they addressed his use of guns and killing, given that Keaton fired machine guns and put bombs down villains pants.

The storytelling was compelling and casting was excellent (except for Katie Holmes).

I can appreciate the previous modern Batman movies for what they are, but to me this is the first TRUE Batman film that matters.

I thought it was really boring

Michael Keatons first movie was a lot less "stiff"

The one thing I disliked most was the first fight scene with Batman. I know it was suppose to show how sneaky he can be but I was like "what just happened?"

Dark Knight and Batman Begins are number one and two for me as far as Batman movies go...with Burton's 89 version coming in on third.

I like Bale as Batman/Wayne ..., But I HATE Barking Growl Batman. I can barely understand what the Hell He says ..., and Never do, 1st time out witha scene either.

Bale's Batman voice was perfect in Batman Begins...but Nolan really took it up a notch in Dark Knight...lol.

I really like how Nolan translated the League of Assassins film and the playing of tricks with Ra's Al Ghul's actual identity. For comic book fans, it was pretty easy to figure out, but it was a great twist for the general movie goer.

I loved the scene from the warehouse. It was loose adaption of a scene from one of Englehart/Rogers Detective issues.

As much as I liked Joker in Dark Knight, some of my favorite stuff with Batman in the comics is when he's breaking up crime rings and I thought Nolan did nice work with that in Batman Begins.

It was also a good "realistic" take on the Scarecrow.

But I've hated the rubber suit since Keaton and would really like to see a modern Batman film with the Neal Adams-type bat suit.
