HMMNN i'm amazed at the little love for the Hobgoblin, i rember everyone diging him when he first appearedComment

I think the problem with Hobgoblin is he got watered down with the original HB, the Ned Leeds scam, then Jack O'Lantern, then Demogoblin...yada yada yada. Yeah the Green Goblin went through a few IDs as well, Norman, Harry and Dr. Bart Hamilton but for the most part it's just the story of father and son and their nefarious alter ego.
Plus, when the original Green Goblin returned there wasn't any use for the Hobgoblin now was there...?Think OUTSIDE the Box! For the BEST in Repro & Custom Packaging!Comment

Steve Ditko mysterious Green Goblin. I really enjoyed the ? surrounding who it could have been, and its run as a subplot thru the early Spider-Man issues. You must try to generate happiness within yourself. ^ The old Flying Broomstick (pre Goblin Glider) was pretty neat too.Think OUTSIDE the Box! For the BEST in Repro & Custom Packaging!Comment

Take a guess who I liked. I read all the original issues through Marvel Tales as a kid. I read 1 through about 130-132, Once Norman Osborn was out of the picture, the comics weren't as interesting to me. I still picked up some, but never got into them as much.Comment

I'll go with Norman, and side with those unhappy with his return, and just plain disgusted over the whole knocking Gwen up thing. That has to be the biggest "what the?" in comic history.
The original Hobgoblin saga was great. And as drawn by JR Jr., Hobby looked very meancing and just eveil with that big mouth hanging open. Later folks tried to "demonize" him too much and took away his charm. The original Hobby is still a great visual. Just look at his Secret Wars figure. That headsculpt nailed the original Romita Jr. design.

I forgot about Demogoblin. Where did he come from? Was he one of the many Infinity War dupes that refused to go away (like the six armed fanged Spiderman?)Comment

^ Yeah he was an Infinity War left-over if I recall....Think OUTSIDE the Box! For the BEST in Repro & Custom Packaging!Comment

but going back to Hobgoblin and Green Goblin I would have to agree that Green Goblin is better, it's like having a really new spift- up sports car vs. a classic 60's sports car. You can't beat the original (in looks)
that's not a very good analogy thoughComment

but along with many other's I don't like the fact that they brought Norman back AGAIN! he should have stayed dead after his first "death". It was a good storyline, they should have just kept Harry alive and kept Norman dead.Comment
