    Charest is phenomenal, but the guy's so slow, people have almost forgotten about him. There's a degree of perfectionism that becomes a liability to one's career. From what I gather, he doesn't even do lay-outs. It's all done in his head before he even starts working.

    Y'know, that is really interesting given that I opted to try and post my list more on reflex rather than over thinking or before glancing at what every one else posted. it is really tough to whittle it down.

    On another day might have posted Wally Wood, Frank Frazetta, Geof Darrow, Terry Moore and Möbius.

    samurainoir - The first one through me for a minute, because I've never seen Frank Cho draw that kind of fantasy stuff before - then the signature clued me in.

    Then we have:
    • Dave Stevens
    • Adam Hughes
    • I don't know this one (Travis ?)
    • JOCO? Wikipedia tells me this is Richard Corben's work. I recognize Corben's work now that I googled him - but I didn't know him or this cover off-hand.
