    Mark Waid's Daredevil

5 issues in and it's nice to see Daredevil swinging back into more swashbuckling superhero adventures, without losing all the stuff that Bendis and Brubaker have been building up on the title the past decade. The Secret Identity Open Secret is still amazingly enough a part of the book.

Rivera's art is astonishing as well. Some really incredible ways of depicting Daredevil's powers in ways we've never seen before.

I have to admit I was concerned about the direction of the new creative team, but it's turning out to be a solid book.

His membership in the New Avengers has been pretty cool as well Mike Deodato has been chanelling some old school Neal Adams stylistic touches and just nailed it on the big DD solo issue.

The artwork reminds me of a modernized Romita Sr...which is perfect for DD. I remember when Karl Kesel and Cary Nord went back to the old style DD back in the late 90s, after years of Miller-Lite stuff.

I do like Waid, so I may have to check this out. The problem is it seems it's sold out almost everywhere. Since they are almost on issue six, I may just wait for the collected version. I do like that art style and I'm a fan of Waid. THis may be the first Marvel book I start picking up in over a decade.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.

When did The Transformers wind up back at Marvel?

I got issue #1 and loved it! Then I didn't see it for awhile and forgot. Next thing I know they're at #5! I'll have to try to get all 4 I missed at once. Mark Waid is tops.

It's neat to see Daredevil smiling again.

Rivera finally found a line-art style that works for him. In the latest issues, he's being inked by his father, who has a fine art background.

That's what I love about Waid. He proves no story element or character is inherently lame. Here he uses The Spot!!!
