I'm assuming they have big plans to reboot Thor once again given that they just killed him off in the finale of Fear Itself.
It's not like there isn't a big Avengers film next year with Thor and Loki. Or a sequel planned for the big Thor movie just out on DVD.
Of course what s really shocking is that Marvel didn't milk this in the mainstream press, but then again it's hardly a slow news week.
So final Tally for Fear Itself... Bucky Cap Dead. Thor Dead. Banner Split from Hulk. The Defenders launching a new title. Cap's Shield will also have a permanent crack in it, but has been repaired with Uru (same stuff as Thor's hammer). Red skull 2.0 has proven that she is a major Big Bad.
Cap also picked up and wielded Thor's hammer.
All in all, Fear itself was a pretty good crossover series, but again suffers from too many tie ins and spin offs. It would be nice if either of the big two could do more self contained series. Just like blackest Nught should have stayed in the Lantern books, fear itself would have been bettered served by focussing on the Avengers books.
