Who was the member of the Legion of Super heroes that was killed by a dog type alien with a huge distended head?
I have the comic in Spanish, which I have forgotten how to read.
He was a shape changer, and had taken on the form of a stray dog, after being booted out of the Legion itself.
From the artwork, I'd say that it was based in the 1960's at least.
From what I remember, he had taken on the form of a white dog, and a little girl took pity on him and gave him something to eat.
A dog type alien escaped from a zoo, and was terrorizing the neighborhood. It had a HUGE head, capable of eating a small human whole.
He sacrificed his life to save the little girl, and the alien broke his neck when he all but jumped into its mouth.
He resumed his natural form after death, and I think received honors from the other members of the Legion.
But as to what his name was, I have no clue.
I don't know if I still have the comic itself; it's probably buried in a storage bin.
