      Hmmmm....

Kinda sounds like DC's take on "Marvels." Which isn't a bad idea at all.

It refers to Kingdom Come "this summer" so this article is pretty out of date. Besides, New Frontier kind of took the wind out its sails.

the new Comic Book Legends at CBR quotes Robinson saying that JLA Year One and New Frontier already covered that ground.

Yeah, JLA Year One and New Frontier expanded on the origin Englehart wrote for the JLA back in the 70s.

Liked both series, especially New Frontier, but I still wouldn't mind seeing what Robinson would do with the characters set in that time period, but I totally understand him not wanting to touch it. Cooke just owned that time period with New Frontier.

Of course, we're getting the new official version of the JL now in the relaunch. The second issue really had a early Marvel type of vibe with all the characters back-biting and griping with each other.

That is a really good point. I've been trying to figure out why the new Justice League just didn't "feel" like a DC style book to me... above and beyond the Image style bombastic art.

In the old days they would encounter threats seperately or in twos/threes and then get together at the end to face it down together.
