I watched it over the weekend and thought it was a overall good movie.Just go into it with a clear mind and not let what others have said affect you.Sinestro was perfect in my point of view and will be a perfect bad guy in the future movies.
I grabbed this on pay per view last night. I'd seen it in the theater in 3-D and wanted to refresh my memory of the film. Nothing really changed. It had it's good and bad moments. Forced and chiched dialogue, Ryan Reynolds inability to act serious and ineffective use of special effects hurt the overall package.
Now, the design team did an amazing job with the aliens and living skin costuming. I still hate how the mask looked, but the suit was stunning. Sinestro was worth the price alone. He doesn't have enough screen time but made the most of his opportunities.
It's a half-step behind Thor IMO, as it had some pretty hokey parts as well, but nobody mentions that. Thor is a cool film and I do own it, but it had it's moments too.
Cap America and First Class were far and above better than the other two. Overall, all things considered, it was a great Summer for comic movies.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.
If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.
The extended version is much better because it gives you the back story on Hal as a kid that better solidifies his motivation...or lack thereof. It's a good movie.
