I read where the deleted scenes help out some of the spotty editing in the original cut.
We'll see.
I liked it for the parts it really got right. It was really faithful to Johns' revision of Jordan's history and the GL Corps. It just wasn't as good as it could have been.
Hope it and the animated series does well enough for DC to go with a sequel.
DC's been really quiet on the movie front since this flopped in the theaters and moving Superman to 2013. If Warner's is going to have a super hero flick out in 2014 it needs to get to work.
I hope they are planning a JLA film and use it to spin characters out of it.
Speaking of that, I hope a SHIELD movie featuring Black Widow and Haweye spins out of the Avengers movie. Both characters are a little thin to carry a movie by themselves, but as SHIELD operatives, it might be pretty cool.
Hopefully the integrate the scenes seemlessly into the film and not just make them bonus material.
Daredevil, a mediocre film at best, was converted to very good with the director's cut and added scenes. They re-ordered some of them and it not only flowed better but made way more sense. Hopefully the same can be done to GL, make a decent movie into a good movie. Kinda sucks that I'm hoping for just "good" with DC properties, but that's how Warner's has programmed us.
Actually, they can just cut out 3/4 of the Hammond scenes and it would be a major improvement.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.
If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.

I agree!! The directors cut of Daredevil is so good, it's tragic they never released that in theaters. It could very well have made that film a real hit. Night and day difference from the theatrical cut.
