    Power records are on Youtube!

I don't know if any of you were aware. But Youtube has lots of the classic Power Records recordings and books you can listen to and read. My favorite was "Conan: The Crawler in the Mists". I still have my original to this day. But here is a link where you can listen to it and read as it goes. You will notice off to the right you can listen and read many more. Very cool find! Thought I would share.

Definitely a piece of entertainment representative of a past era. Today's kids wouldn't even know how to play the record.

I got a record player as a gift from my wife a while back. The first thing I did was pop on my childhood Power Records Batman album and listen to "Robin Meets Man-Bat"! My kids listened in and thought it was pretty cool.

Still have a few Batman, Superman and Spider-Man ones.
As a kid I also had the SMDM LP with two stories on it.

This site has lots of them, available to download as MP3s:

I have this old holiday record/book set I had as a kid appropriately entitled 'Twas the Night Before Christmas'. When the kids were little I would pull that out on Christmas Eve and play it for them on this old Mickey Mouse record player. Since they had never seen a record player before, they really felt the whole experience was magical listening to the record. I've always felt this kind of entertainment speaks to the imagination in a unique way.

I really appreciate you posting that link. I wound up watching and listening to a bunch last night (The Planet of the Apes and Star Trek ones are cool, too) and saved them to my hard drive. Loved those as a kid.

I post these links up every now and then. Some get replies, some don't. In any case, you know I LOVE Power Records! Here are some more links:

I think these are a lost art form. I love them all.
