Captain America comes to DVD Oct 25th, plus...

...Plus a week earlier Shout! factory will release a double DVD set of the two Captain America TV films from 1979. I guess that leaves the 1991 film odd man out for a DVD release. Can we say, "Awkward"?

No joke--it takes no time lately, it seems. I'm expecting Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Super 8, and the new Conan the Barbarian will be out before Christmas.

^^^ Christmas will bring us the limited edition, collector's. item, extended length, remastered, 5.1 Dolby, master's. edition director's cut with a fancy tri-panel opening and pop-up characters with voice chips that recite dialogue from the film.

        That'll be worth the wait...

I thought about that too. Then I started looking at DVD release schedules. Guess what comes out on DVD in November? Yep. You guessed it. The last Harry Potter installment. I suspect no one wants to compete with that behemoth. So their getting their compensation early.

That was going to be my guess. That's great news for me. I never got around to seeing it in the theater and I'll definitely pop on the DVD.

Even though I have both reb browns on VHS I am really excited to see they will be released finally - I am quietly hopeful for some bonus content

and for the record I LIKE the original costume used in the first one
