I dunno. This is an older story - The waitresses were lied to by their management for a whole month about the prize of the contest.

Blair (the manager) misled the employees through the course of the contest by telling them that he didn't know what kind of Toyota it would be ... a car, truck or van. Blair also allegedly told her that the winner would be responsible for the taxes on the prize.

They were clearly lead on to believe the prize was a vehicle. She quit her job, sued and won a decent settlement, so not so dumb - in my opinion.
