I read about this. Makes me sad. I was thinking of sending him a drawing or something if it was possible.

It looks like this Gary should be fairly easy to track down. He remembers working with him at Hardee's; I'm sure there are records to find his real name somewhere.

Hope we find out when they catch this creep.

I am on the board of a co-op that supports the independent living situations of individuals with special needs and it's astonishing how adults with developmental challenges are targeted and taken advantage of. One fairly high functioning friend of mine with Asperger's suffered a home invasion a few years back that he still hasn't recovered from (and probably never will)... And the guy got away with it because my friend could never be a credible witness. Another family friend had to have the dignity of her independent access to her bank account taken away because she started giving away ridiculous amounts of money to an unnamed "friend" in need. Plus the sexual assault stats are through the roof... And these are just among paid staff and caregivers!

I just spoke with the article's writer and got some information. I plan on sending a little care package to him of some Superman stuff. There's not a lot I can do to help out a lot of people, but this story just physically made me nauseous. If anyone else wants to join in, let me know. I'd love to send him a nice Mego Museum care package.

Not sure if it would be easier to coordinate by each person sending or if I was the facilitator. In any case, his friend is organizing donations. Here is the address.

If you guys and gals have other suggestions let me know or post them here.

            Scott
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.

It's awful this has happened to him, but it's awesome to see people are organizing donations to help this guy out. I bet he'll end up with an even better collection now.

According to the author, there have been at least fifty calls on this, many looking to donate.

I could put together anyone's contribution in one package with mine. I think it would be insanely cool to have a collaborative box from our Museum members.

Or, if anyone else wants to get involved please send whatever Superman stuff to the above address.

Superman sets the bar for what humanity should be like. I'd love for us to rise to meet that same level.

I'm pretty sure I have a spare Supes suit and cape; just have to take a gander at them and make sure they are not trashed. Not sure if I have any bodies, but probably have a Mantis one I could nick from a green hornet box or something.
I'll get with you on the pm box about this.

If it's okay, I'd like to draw him a picture of Superman and send it along. I have an extra Super Powers Superman somewhere too that I can send. I don't have an Captain Action stuff.

I'm going to start a thread this afternoon about this, Scott has generously offered to put together a "Mego Museum Care Package" for the guy and I hope we can cobble together a nice type 2 supes and possibly find more parts for the Captain Action set Rche so generously offered.
