My son and I went to the LCS today and I grabbed a few items from the discount bin. I had always heard of this one, but never read it before today. All I can say is what were they thinking/smoking?

But.... kids like superheroes, right? And football.... don't they....? This is one of them things that I'd LOVE to know the story behind. How, and WHY did they get the NFL on board with this? I bet it's better than the actual comic.

One of the few joys I had working a register at a brief, dead end gig was the new issue of NFL Superpro.

It was like reading a train wreck every month, I remember a bad guy who was all steroids, incredible. Just seeing that character reminds me of cigarettes and apathy.

MARVEL should have known better with there lack luster series Kickers inc from a few years before
But this is why the 90s was the darkages for true comic fans

No.... it says there were twelve, and I have no reason to doubt them.... but they only show pics of the covers for 7, and my brain can't wrap itaelf around there being 12 of this comic without tangible proof.... that I'm too apathetic to look up.

....but it's amazing to think how razor thin the line between "awesome" and "OH GOD!!!! MY EYES!!!!! MY EYES!!!!!!" can be. Superpro really isn't any stupider than a lot of other characters that made it. Hell; he's Booster Gold without the future suit.

Another example?:

....but a few years later he was called "Bane," and was a big hit. Maybe it's the luchador mask?
