Who's "voice" do you hear when you read Superman?

I have to admit that it's still Christopher Reeve's "voice" that I hear in my head when reading the comics.

Who's the definitive Superman "voice" for you? The Radio Guy? One of the Animated Voice Actors? George Reeves?

Most of the time George Reeves........
But sometimes either Max Fleischer's Superman or Superfriends Supey voice.

Weird, but never Chris Reeve or the newer cartoon for me.

I usually hear Chris Reeve myself, but when I read to my son I try to mimic George Newburn's JLU Supes. That's the one Andrew knows best, and it's close to Tim Daly with a little more emotion in his deivery.

Batman is Kevin Conroy, both for him AND me.

Earth 2 Superman and Batman are always George Reeves and Adam West respectively.

I hear the voice of Bud Collyer who did the radio show and did the filmation 60's Superman....I liked the way he changed his voice from Clark to Superman.

Hmmm, never thought about it before. I do hear Ron Perlman when I read Hellboy, does that count?

It largely depends. If I'm reading Superman stories from 1938 to the 60's, I hear the voice of Bud Collyer, the classic voice. If it's the 70's and 80's, I hear the voice of Danny Dark from the SuperFriends. The late 80's to the early 90's and even in the Death and Return of Superman, I hear the voice of Beau Weaver, the voice of Superman from the Ruby Spears show. And from the 90's to the present day, I hear the voice of
Tim Daly from Superman: The Animated Series. George Newbern was all right but I prefer Tim better.
With Batman, I hear Olan Soule (Filmation and SuperFriends) from 1939 through the 1960's. From the late 60's to the 80's and even in "Death in the Family", and up to 1992, I hear Adam West (largely because of his voice work as Batman) and from 1992 starting with Knightfall and up to the present day, I hear Kevin Conroy. I view Rino Romano the same way I do George Newbern. Fine but not authentic. Finally, with All Star Batman and Robin, I can hear Christian Bale as Batman in that series.

Finally, I'll say that when I read Justice League stuff by Alex Ross, I hear Tim Daly, Kevin Conroy, and Susan Eisenberg as the big three. John Wesley Shipp and the
Barry Allen Flash, and Carl Lumbly as J'onn J'onzz. And Miguel Ferrer as Aquaman. Haven't figured out the voice of Hal Jordan Green Lantern yet. I don't even know who voiced over Hal Jordan in his short cameo on that JLU episode.

                      Cheers.

                        RIGHT ON

this looks like a job...FOR SUPERMAN

he was also the voice for the 40's shorts so for 20 years he was the voice of superman.

to me e2 bats is Alan soule (i probalby mispelled this but I am too lazy to look it up right now) he voiced batman all through the 60's and 70's in animation (scooby doo crossovers, filmation 68, superfriends unitil the 80's superpowers shows when Adam voiced batman and he was firestorms inner voice Prof Stein) except for Adam in the live show and Adam in the 77 filmation show.

e2 sups I usually hear Bud Collyer but George is a great choice too.
