    The Bionic Man #1

Not a huge Kevin Smith fan, he's done a few good series but I think he's way overrated...but The Six Million.....I mean The Bionic Man #1 from Dynamite came out today and I thought it was GREAT! I'll be picking this one up. One nice bonus surprise in it, looks like there may be a spin-off. (Like Dynamite wouldn't do THAT!!)

I have to admit that I am a bit wary of this given Kevin Smith's own self deprecating commentary about his own screenplay, and how all he could come up with for action scenes is Steve Austin hiding behind a rock.

Ah, it'll only be by Smith for the first arc. Then it'll go to someone else. But, you're right, it hardly seems fair to Martin Caiden that it's advertised as KEVIN SMITH'S BIONIC MAN. Guess since it's based on the TV series they don't need to credit anyone else?
Just like you have to search to find Edgar Rice Burroughs name on the Mars books.
But not nearly as irritating to me as Frank Miller's The Spirit. But at least Will Eisner didn't get first billing credit on THAT turkey!

Bought it last night, it's not bad. Smith works hard to set up the story in a pretty familiar fashion.

His characterization of Steve Austin is off, it's a little too like Hal Jordan in the Green Lantern movie, a hotshot but a screw up. That's a bit of cliche nowadays, he's also a wise ***, the first time we see him he's joking about stinking up the john and then later Rudy gives him a rectal exam! Hilarious!

I didn't need this much anal-centric humour in the bionic man so early on.

I can't wait for the scene where he gets Bigfoot high and Oscar gets bionic stink-palmed.

Not a bad issue #1 at all. Oscar looks like Richard Anderson after his hair was messed up by hurrican Irene and even loks like him in certain panels, same for steve He has a slight resemblance to Lee Majors, Jamie, in my option does not resemble Lindsey wagner and looks like a generic woman. But all in all not a bad issue, hope the rest is same or better.
P.S. Dr Rudy Wells Does not look like Martin E. Brooks, I hate that big time. its the only bad thing so far.
What do ya all think? Let me know.
