    My Childhood Friend Mego/Comic Collector

He came into town a few weeks ago for a High School reunion and we met before hand talking about being kids, etc.

When I got on the subject of Megos/comics he said that his parents either threw most of them away or gave them away. My jaw dropped.

He had just about every figure, playset, etc ever made and had comics in the 1,000's (some really old stuff too). He did say he did grab some older Spidey comics(#1-100) and does have some older Golden Age Batman Comics but the rest are gone. He sold some to help pay for his college but said he has a few that he couldn't part with....he had no idea the Megos would ever be collectible.

Yeah, I traded away my RM Robin and the measily few I had about 20yrs ago for vintage GI Joe stuff.., did get good stuff for 'em.

      Ah, well.
